Antes que nada tengo que agradecer a una lectora de este blog (Mary Alejandra), ya que gracias a uno de sus comentarios he llegado a conocer más música del oriente medio y en particular por facilitarme la información que me llevó a escuchar mis primeras canciones de un artista iraní, gracias ... Si vieron el documental La Marche de L'Empereur seguramente se maravillaron con la belleza tan blanca de ese hermoso y lejano lugar, adicionalmente disfrutaron de su bella musicalización, en efecto; de ahi es de donde obtenemos la canción de la semana: The Frozen World Es difí­cil describir esta melodí­a sin evocar alguna de las imágenes del documental, así que si no lo han visto comenten sobre que atmósfera les proyecta, y por supuesto; si tienen la oportunidad de ver este gran documental (ahora en DVD), ni lo duden. La banda sonora (soundtrack) esta a cargo de Émilie Simon una compositora e interprete de música electrónica, que entre otros premios ganó (por este disco) el premio a Mejor Banda Sonora Original (Best Original soundtrack) de los premios Victoires de la musique del año 2006. Moby es un artista de música electrónica muy conocido, por algún tiempo lo escuche mucho, incluso recuerdo que el tema Extreme Ways (18) fue el soundtrack de un accidente automovilístico en el que desafortunadamente estuve involucrado, me explico; esa rola estaba sonando cuando sin piedad un microbus de transporte colectivo de la Ciudad de México se impacto contra el auto en el que viajaba con una amiga, el saldo; además de los cuantiosos daños materiales, dos semanas con collarin ortopédico, pero ese es otro asunto... Al asunto que nos interesa, el tema seleccionado para esta semana es The Sky Is Broken, del disco Play de 1999, que como dato para trivia apareció en el capitulo Todas las cosas (All Things) de la séptima temporada de los Expedientes Secretos X (X-Files) allá por abril del año 2000.
